Game Design - Week 11

The design document is now finished. We just had to fix any little writing mistakes, and sort out the layout of everything to make it look more organized.

Game Design - Week 10

We finalized our pause menu concept and finished the cut-scenes this week.
There's not much else to do now except make it look nice with the layout, etc.

Game Design - Week 9

This week we started to talk about a new game mode called "Taking Control", which is a team-based competitive multiplayer game mode.

Game Design - Week 8

This week we started discussing the User Interface a bit more, as well as cut-scenes for the story, and a few other things.
This gave us an additional 6 pages to our document (totaling 18 pages now).

Game Design - Week 7

I started making some concept music, so help further back up the concept art with emphasising the atmospheres.
One peice of the music has a cheery, innocent feel to it, for while the character is still naive and without much darkness. Another has calm and relaxing feel, the character is no longer naive, but still without darkness. Another peice has a point of realization where it goes from cheery to "oh crap, that ain't good".
Another peice has a sense of darkness in it, likely for when the character has bad karma or is going through bad time.

The audio is not yet recorded and I hope to have that done some time within week 8, as well as make more concept art to go along with it.

Game Design - Week 6

I made another peice of concept art.
This is The Devil, it is an attempt to show as many aspects of him as possible. His cockiness (allowing for a likely strange sense of humour), his intimidating attitude, his position of power, his potential for rage, and the darkness inside him.

Game Design - Week 5

I made a start on some concept art. We need to emphasise the different atomospheres in the game, and also the feel of the characters in the game.

An example being an angel. One of the good angels, which brings a light and happy atmosphere, as well as generally being a cheery person.
This here is a female angel, one of the messengers:

And the main character in his bad karma form, showing the dark atmosphere and showing one of his potential powers:
